Red Hat Summit

The Impact of the Individual

Client: Red Hat
Role: Art Director

An event experience for the doers.

We often celebrate the visionaries and the game changers. But behind every Steve, Bill, & Mark there are the doers who make it happen. So for this years Red Hat Summit event, we thought it was time to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes who keep the servers running and the kanban boards moving.

With a flooded tech event season, we needed a creative approach that spoke directly to our audience but was also flexible enough for all that is required when planning a 5,000 person 3-day event.

Through collaborative working sessions with writers, designers, and strategists we honed in on a core theme: celebrating the impact of the individual. Combining the ideas of fingerprints to represent identity and ripples to represent impact, we developed a visual system to bring the theme to life.

With our theme and visual system in place, we enabled groups across marketing and the globe to bring their own stories into one seamless experience. From the main stage to the digital page, we celebrated that Open Source is only as strong as the individuals behind it.
