Red Hat brand campaign

Role: Associate Creative Director

To kick-off Red Hat’s awareness campaign, we started with a brief that posed two creative challenges. The first was to show that Red Hat’s Open Source DNA has remained unchanged. The second was to amplify the brand’s role as a player in the emerging cloud space. To do this we needed to create a brand platform that could span Red Hat’s history and its future…in like 4 words.

To bring our new platform to life, we built a series of connected micro-environments, spanning from traditional banks to autonomous vehicles. This helped represent the interoperability and flexibility of Red Hat’s open source software across any cloud.

Our team of writers, animators, and designers developed these 3D environments into multiple individual :15 spots. We also brought them together into a :45 anthem spot.

Web experience

We also wanted to pay homage to Red Hat’s experience and trust built over years in the open source communities, especially when talking to developers. By incorporating actual product code in our ads, we signified our continued dedication to Open Source principles.
